Update 11/24/1015: Dell Responds to the Security Concerns: Dell has officially responded to the eDellRoot issue on its Support blog. It released a manual: eDellRoot Certificate Removal Instructions as well as a small utility (direct link) that will remove it automatically for you. You can test if you have the eDellRoot Certificate by clicking this link (which we explain below). If you do have it, we suggest you read Dell’s blog post, download the PDF, and follow the instructions for getting rid of it....

The Activity Log, which you can access via a button on the top right side of your profile, is the place where you can “censor” any activity you may have had done on the network. The only difference is that your Activity Log will also feature your Facebook search activity in the coming weeks. The update is being rolled out over the coming days and weeks. Guzman’s solution, an “early beta version,” isn’t actually a widget like the ones in macOS Big Sur. Google recently posted on their blog explaining that they are not unaware of the situation, and have taken steps through their page-ranking system/algorithms to ensure “We won’t up-rank spammers.” Result? Comment spam no longer increases page rank on the Google search results for spammers, and the same goes for member and group name spam. Hopefully, the spammers get the message and read this because nothing is more annoying than Comment Spam!...

According to YouTube’s website: It will also give options for the file quality and size and allow social sharing via devices without an Internet connection. Another interesting feature will be able to preview videos before deciding to watch. The new app is coming out soon and will debut in India at first. Indian users, however, can sign up with a phone number and email to find out when the app launches....

Google announced that this new design will first roll out to users of the .com (U.S.) Google search domain, and others should be getting it as soon as possible. Over the past year (at least) Google has been street-testing a secret car project. Last weekend they announced the results, a self-driving robotic car. While it might not have a smack-talk personality and sophisticated AI like the Knight Rider car from television, these cars are able to get from point A to point B safely and efficiently. Google’s robotic cars have been on the roads for a while now, Google doesn’t confirm when the cars first started driving themselves but the earliest video capture of one of these was posted on Facebook back in November of 2009....

Anyway, as I suspected, the performance is somewhere in between these two extremes, as you’ll see in this demo I threw together on my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1: I’m on a WiFi connection, and it’s fairly plucky, but the loading symbol does spin for a while before I get my results. The real benefit comes with the search suggestions, which are nothing new, but now, you can get automatically get results for the first suggested answers with Google Instant....

While the app doesn’t sound immediately useful, there are situations where it may be. For instance, not everyone has 10GB of free space on their iPhone. Many of us have a 16GB model, and 1-2GB to spare. Obviously, we can’t record an endless chunk of audio. Now, this may not grab a full conversation, but it will grab that last five minutes, and that’s the idea. If someone says something that you didn’t expect and you later want or need a record of that, it’s now recorded....
